Little Things for Little Space
By Sugar Milk | August 28, 2020
Hi there! I want to start off this post with a disclaimer/warning. Please do not interact if you are looking for sexual content or trying to make this into a DDLG or other kink related post! This entry is simply for those looking for nostalgia or those who (like me) use little space as a coping mechanism! I greatly appreciate your respect! Also, sorry to mobile users, but all games are flash, meaning they can only be played from a computer!

Hi! So when I'm having a bad day, week or even month, one of the things I like to do is cope by reverting to childhood enjoyments. This helps to bring me, and many others who do the same, back into a time when they didn't have to worry about the troublesome experiences of "adulting" and could just enjoyed life with cutesy, colourful, light-hearted content and activities.

If you're a weird millennial & gen-z hybrid like me, born somewhere around 1995-2001, you probably spent a bit of time on a computer playing flash games! Well, as an adult, I still enjoy doing this a ton, and so for those of you who miss those childhood days, can't find any of your old content or just forgot about them, I've compiled a sort of internet time capsule of old, girly, kids content that I used to enjoy. I hope some of you remember them too or enjoy them for the first time! I'll be updating the list in the future!

*Everything on the list is aesthetically pleasing! (kidcore/hobicore) You're welcome *

I used to love playing this game so much as a little girl and now it's one of my all time go-to's as an adult. If you're unfamiliar with the Diva Starz, they are an old doll line

created by Mattel (sister to Barbie) and discontinued in 2004. They had a great flash website that displayed games in the form of cute "webisodes." There are two distinct styles of Diva Starz games, the ones designed by Joe Barrile and Dechesser Studios (the original Diva Starz website and art style) and the ones designed by Niilo Tippler. The original art style ones are easy to come by either on the new Diva Starz Weebly or on YouTube. However, the ones by Niilo Tippler (sadly only 3) cannot be found except for Fashion Emergency! The Niilo Tippler redesign is my favourite look of all the Diva Starz designs. Because I love the Diva Starz flash games so much, I reached out to Niilo on Twitter and am still waiting for a response.
In the mean time, the owner of the Diva Starz Weebly was able to acquire the original Diva Starz website with some working links using The way Back Machine. There you can explore the Diva's rooms and play some of the older designed flash games!

Most of you probably don't know of this game. I believe it was created for Teletoon by Emerging Playgrounds. This game is a good game if you

have something pressing on your mind and you really need to think about something other than that. Once you get past the first level, the combinations come so fast! It's a fun challenge with good music and cute dances. Another game us Canadians might recognize from Teletoon is Chilly Challenge.

If you've been a girly girl like me since childhood, you probably loved Bratz! I spent a great deal of time with my friends at school choosing different

fictional characters and classmates to set ourselves up with in M.A.S.H. Just insert some names and options, press spin, and it'll tell you what your future holds! There are tons of other fun Bratz games available here as well that I loved to play as a kid!

If you enjoy slow paced, quiet game play, animals and dress up, this is the game for you. For a lot of us, Barbie games were probably one of

your first experiences with online flash games or even the internet. I loved to spend time playing Zoom n' Groom, especially dressing up the horses. But if you're more of a cat or dog person, those are options too! There are plenty of other Barbie games I think you'd remember like Barbie Car Fun, Babysitting Baby Krissy and Barbie Shoe Hunt. (Shoe hunt is in a different language so that might add some difficulty) Take a look if you're looking for a blast from the past or just something easy to do when real life is not so easy.
Just about the most aesthetically pleasing game on this list! You get to design a cute lil bedroom for a baby! Most of you probably

don't know or remember, but once upon a time there existed a brand of dolls (again by Mattel, sister to barbie) called What's Her Face. These dolls came with no faces. Instead, the owner of the doll would draw her face on! I never owned one of these dolls, but what I can tell you for sure is their flash games, at the time, were some of the best on the internet. Great aesthetics and great music! Just like Diva Starz, I'm hard at work trying to recover some of these games.

Probably the most obscure yet not obscure type of game on this list. It's kind of hard to explain if you don't already know but there's a whole type

of flash game called "dress up dolls" in which you dress up flash versions of girls/dolls. The ones I loved best were the Roiworld makeovers, where your character is usually called up by her best friend, boyfriend or potential date, given a certain task (I assume) and then you dress her up for this task based on different categories, starting from tops, bottoms, makeup, hair, accessories and finally shoes. The game does give you a hint at the bottom to pick specific outfits but I kinda like to do my own thing. At the end, you're usually met with a guy (who looks "meh") who will rate your outfit poorly and your character will sigh (if you don't pick the recommended outfits through the hint) But we ignore that part because who cares what people think. Every now and then you are met by your characters friend though. The games are in Korean, so it definitely does take some guess work, but they are so fun once you get going on them, especially if you're a lil fashionista. The music is kind of fun too! Because this style of Roiworld Makeover is hard to find, I'll provide you with some links:

Ok so, out of all the blog posts I've made here on ACDT so far, this one took the longest. It pretty much took the entirety of August for me to finish. That includes getting the screen grabs, finding working links (without viruses) and adding them to this page (all while working full time, trying to take care of myself, spend some time with friends and take care of my house) Don't worry, this isn't the end of the list. I have a lot more games I'm searching for and trying to remember the names and concepts of. If any of you readers know and remember games or have working links to cute, retro early internet games, head on over to my contact page and let me know! It would be very appreciated. Go ahead and have a day filled with nostalgia with the links above!
